from Aunty Mar and Lynne your Guildford family x

My grandma Hannah and Paulette's grandad George were sister and brother and we have happy memories of visiting our relatives. I was about eight years older than Paulette, and for some reason she seemed to like my style, at the time. So when I arrived in a plaid skirt and headscarf she had to have the same - so we spent the next few days identically dressed - thankfully she didn't carry on my fashion tips as she grew into the beautiful girl she beacame! Aunty Mar remembers that Paulette wanted a Doogle dog from The Magic Roundabout so took her into to town to get one. She insisted that he had a lead and chose a blue leather one that cost more than the dog did. She dragged it all the way home and then decided that she didn't want it anyway!! Marlyn also taught the girls her version of the Highway Code on the way to the park which was Stop, Look and Listen unkem funkem which Paulette thought was hilarious and later told us that she had taught this to both Harry and Millie!! We are proud of the beautiful girl and mother she beacame and she will be the brightest of stars.

Sending all love to Aunty Di, Lyns, Harry and Millie and rest of the family
